The Knife

A knife is a tool and a weapon. It is a utility multitool. You can cut rope, cut flesh, wood or fabrics. You can hunt and work with a knife. In this chapter we will discuss the knife for fighting.

We have three main types of fighting knives:

*Dagger / Bajonet

*Fixed Blade

*Folded Blade

*Dagger: longer blade, mostly double edged, thin and it's main purpose is stabbing.

*Fixed Blade: One piece metal knife with a handle around it. The blade can be single and double edged, it can be thin or wider. It can be used for stabbing and cutting.

*Folded Blade: Defence knife made for concealed carrying. Mostly a wider and shorter blade.

We offer:

Tactical Edge Weapons Recognition:

Recognition about the different kinds of edge-weapons. Historical, modern and improvised (tools / prison). Function, strong and weak points, and how are they worn? How are they handled? Which one do you choose and why?

Tactical Edge Weapon Encounters Offensive:

Working with the edge-weapon in a offensive manner. Depending on the objective. Many people, officers and operators wear a knife or edge-weapon tool. It is necessary that they recognize the possibilities and limitations in use. And how to use and apply.

Tactical Edge Weapon Encounters Defensive:

Defense against a variation of edge-weapons and improvised tools. But also defense with a edge-weapon against an attacker. Possibilities and limitations.

Tactical Hand To Hand Armed-Combat And Defense:

The emphasis is on fighting or preventing a fight in a tactical setting against an attacker or trained combat units. Defense also against small-arms weapons. Working with tactical equipment.
